It was a sad day when Mitsubishi announced they were discontinuing the Lancer, but as we learned with the Eclipse, the brand has a way of resurrecting new and improved versions of its discontinued vehicles. New Mitsubishi Models Announced
The coming years are proving to be a very exciting time for the Mitsubishi brand. The company recently announced that its plans for the next three years focus heavily on expanding its lineup. According to a recent release, the brand plans to have eleven new model launches over its three-year expansion period. It’s so hard to say goodbye. Now that sales of the Lancer Evo Final Edition are well underway, maybe it’s time for performance enthusiasts to look toward the future. Although the Lancer Evo will be gone for good, Mitsubishi has long hinted that the Evo name will eventually make a comeback. Mitsubishi is unveiling two new concept vehicles at the Geneva Motor Show next week – could one of them be the Evo’s spiritual successor?
2017 Mitsubishi Mirage Changes
Mitsubishi recently announced that an updated version of the Mitsubishi Mirage will be released this spring. It will skip the 2016 model year entirely, entering dealerships as a 2017 model. The tiny Mirage hatchback occupies a unique niche as one of the most affordable and fuel-efficient cars on the market. For 2017, the new Mirage is getting design upgrades inside and out, as well as some new audio system options.
We’ve got some exciting things on the horizon here at Continental Mitsubishi! Don’t get us wrong, we’re still plenty excited about the new 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander‘s release, as you can see from all the attention it’s gotten here recently. But we can’t help wanting to look a little further into the future, because the new Mitsubishi models coming out next year are so exciting as well.
