The Sport features Mitsubishi's All-Wheel Control AWD system that monitors road conditions and tailors traction to match.

The Outlander is the bigger Mitsubishi SUV, offering more seating and cargo room and a more contemporary design than the Sport. For 2014, Mitsubishi's 2.4-liter 4-cylinder powerplant receives MIVEC continuously variable-valve timing technology for optimal fuel efficiency and power production. An all-new feature on the Outlander's continuously variable transmission is acceleration control, which provides better throttle response at early stages of acceleration and postpones upshifts until later in the rev range.
